Hy turbo with larger exhaust housing

I was looking at the turbo the other day and it has a banks housing. I am guessing a 12cm but that is just a crap shoot. Will this help the little hy flow a little more effiecient boost or is it still gonna be done right at 30? The truck has a 4'' down pipe as well.

If I remember right you can't change the housing on an HY.

I didnt ou could change it either, are you sure you have an Hy? they only put those turbos on the H.O.'s.

an HY with a larger exhaust housing would be an HX

there aren't any larger housings for the HY...

Ok well maybe its not the exhaust housing but it is an upgraded ''something" on the exhaust side of the turbo that says banks on it. And the down pipe is a true 4 inch that doesnt choke down towards the turbo. After some detective work I found this ha.

Thanks for the help guy I was just wondering if it would help but after I found out what it is I just think it was kind of a gimmick even though there is some gain from it, it just seems like it would be minimal.

The banks power Elbow would help with EGT drop. But thats really about it.

With my ADR and HY I can hit 1500* quick fast and in a hurry turned up to kill. I haven't messed with the waste gate. I'm about to swap turbos as soon as I get my injectors worked out.
