I need help with my bounce issue

I worked there over the summers when I was on break from college. I put all the liner in that darn hole. Then dumped all the money in this bouncy ball:kick:

i knew you did i was one of the techs there and i run the fill now, oversee headwaters we are having allot of trouble with holes getting in that liner.

ok then dont change it, try going to london or up to wilmington and pull see what happens we built a truck 3 years ago jsut the way you did with your hitch and couldnt pull at any big pulls. just trying to help, you stated in your build thread that you were only pulling at american farm pullers pulls and they didnt have a hitch rule, which they dont but its not legal anywhere that knows what they are looking at.

I hooked in London last Tuesday, in Springfield the weekend before, and Washington C.H. about four weeks ago. I have only missed one hook in that circuit and that was because I couldn't get parts in time. Their rules are the same, pull type hitches allowed. I wasn't being smart with you, I was just stating the rules and why my hitch is built the way it is. I thought if a little draw bar is good, then a big draw bar would be awesome. I was wrong.

live and learn huh it sucks in this sport that it costs allot of money everytime you learn

That is because EPI hired a bunch of crack heads to install that liner for Luburgh and AEP's inspector's and Hull's inspectors were too busy doing other things to check all the holes in the liner.

Then they left the liner uncovered after it was completely installed so that deer could walk on it and poke more holes. I thought that was the dumbest thing ever, it was in the contract the first year to cover all liner with 18 inches of ash within two or three days of completion.

That liner was a wait of money with all the holes that are in it now. Then the deal with three different companies working the same site, everyone said it was the other's responsibility and no one did anything, that is why the plywood damaged all that liner. But oh, well enough about that.

Here are the pictures that Ben sent me. This is how my leaf springs will be attached after tomorrow.

yeah i work for mountaineer plant and not aep construction, them guys are a bunch of idiots, i agree 100% and we are still fixing all the crap they screwed up, give me a holler sometime. My name is Jeff Stethem

Well the suspension did much better last night. I still had some bounce, but the track was horrible. I believe I would have been fine on a quality track. It came out of the bounce and made a successful pull.

On a bad note, I blew my head gasket coming out of the hole, so the High Maintenance name proves true again.

Bean is overnighting me a gasket and fire ring kit so I will be ready for Washington Courthouse this Friday night.

At the last pull I blew a freeze plug, broke an outer axle shaft, and tore a gear out of the transmission. Got all that fixed now though, and if Moser comes through with the axle by Friday I will hook it that night. Plus I ordered two Truxus STS's for the front, I think I have a bit of a traction issue. I guess we'll see if that helps.

not too much of a traction issue if your breaking parts, need to loosen it up and let it spin.

enyone know if a 250 lb spring rate will handle on a coilover shock if added to a all read stock leaf spring front end will this give me a nuff support to help with 1600 lb of front weight if also ran with a set of 90/10/ drag shocks. I'm looking to stay away from add-a-leafs and get ride of my blocks in the front that keep the tires off of my fenders right now.

SEOHPowerstroke:

Add a set of these shocks to the front, we have had to put a set on both of our truck because of extremly bad bounce, and qa set of these shocks fixed everything http://www.competitionengineering.com/catalog/CategoryDisplay.asp?CatCode=10032
there drag racing shocks, they allow the front to pop up when you come of the line and then slowly let the front back down, eliminating bounce, there very slick. They are designed for drag racing, let the front pop up, and lets you plant all the power to the rear tires.

cheers
BamBam,

BamBam,

Thanks man, the last three passes I made the truck rode smooth as silk. I just had a bump stop up front that needed to be removed and all is good.
