what is the dif. between a 1990-93 and a 1994-97 12v Injection Pump can you get good power out both

There totally different, the 89-93 use a "rotary" style Bosch "VE" pump, and the 94- early 98 use an "inline" Bosch P7100 "p-pump" the P7100 will make A LOT more power, its possible to swap pumps, but its alot of work and money because the whole front timming housing and pump drive gear are different, the injector lines and injectors are different, the "lift pump and fuel lines are different, and the throttle and kick down are different.
 
they are both imported from outerspace. Very difficult to find any information on either one.
The best bet is to go with a vp44
