If drag racers ran sled pulling...

Could always go the sled pulling drag racing... Some where on the old (I think TNT) videos it shows them pulling two sleds.. Looks like they set the sled so they would just go past a full pull.. first one to the end, goes to the next round...

This may be the only way you would ever see GALE BANKS at a sled pull. :bang

I remember that pull when TNT did that it sucked allmost all the one's that won was on the same side one slade was harded to get started than the other.

. Please explain to me how they set up the sled between the different classes? I look at results and see at the same pull similiar distances between classes with vasty different power and weight levels...............................Also why isn't NOS allowed in pulling?

Assuming transfer sleds, there are a variety of ways to change them. Some are setup to allow different types of changes, some are not. Most sleds are setup to change multiple parameters based on the needs.

Some add/remove weight as needed.
Some drop the pan sooner/later as needed.
Some increase/decrease the the transfer speed of the box as needed.
Some increase/decrease length of chain as needed (*footnote* Many "Certified" sleds do not do this as chain length, attachment point, etc. are all dictated to be specific by the sanctioning body).
Grousers can be added/subtracted or their depth increased/decreased as needed.
Accumulators (that lift the rear of the sled) can be set to hit sooner/later as needed.

And in one brush pull I saw in the late 80's, they can drench the track with water in the higher classes :hehe:

There are probably other ways to do it as well, those are just the one's I've seen the most.

As for the NOS :pop:

There are many reasons for/against it.
Many clubs don't allow it as they feel it's a safety concern.
I've never seen it stated (at least in our policy), but I have heard some say they can't get insurance if they allow it.
Years ago (mainly in the gasser world), there were many blown motors due to it's misuse (and even some injuries).
Some believe in the all throttle no bottle mentality.

There have been many debates on why it should/shouldn't be used in pulling to the point of *bdh*.

Used correctly it can be a great tool, but there is also the ability to use a tool incorrectly, and if nitrous is used incorrectly it can be catastrophic (which is where I think the basis for outlawing came from).
