I'm ****ed now

Those of you who know about my fuel pressure gauge problems know I'm still trying to fix it. So today I get home from work and decide I'm going take off all the fittings and make sure no thread sealer got in the holes and reinstall the snubber.

I get the fittings off the VP, check them, reapply thread sealer and go to the first fitting back into the vp. I thread it in finger tight, grab the wrench to get it snug......snap! I look down and what do I see?

That's right, it broke off inside the IP. I have no idea what I'm gonna do about this since it's hollow as you can see.

What the **** am I supposed to do about this!? I couldn't have a ****ing one horse parade without something happening. :doh:

This was my first thought but I'm worried that you can't really see what you're doing and I'm worried about ****ing up the threads on the IP.

Assuming I can get it out ok I'm sure I can get another fitting no problem.

It will come out fine, its just sealed with the o-ring so there isnt and load on the threads without the piece that broke off. You could probably get it out with a screwdriver unless the threads are messed up.

Well my concern is that the part that's stuck in the IP is just the hollow threaded part. It's not a solid piece like if a bolt broke off.

I did this too.It will come out.I got my fitting from summit.Get a spare.I have one if you need it.Summit could be quicker then me.What state you in?Earl's part 9919efgerl.It also has adptr #8 jic to 12mm-1.5

How did you get it out? I think I'm gonna try a small screw driver first. I'm in NY. I think my local Napa might have another fitting but they're closed today. I'll check with them tomorrow.

Maybe take the pump off the truck so you can look at it up close to see what your doing. Its a good thing its hollow....you dont have to drill it out for the EZ out.

had that happen to me a few weeks ago and an ez out took it out without an effort.

I was trying to avoid taking the pump out if at all possibly since it's such a pain in the ass but it may come to that.

No truer words have ever been spoken lol.

It should just spin right out as stated before. I have done the exact same thing on my Grizzly's grease zerks and just spun them out easily.
