In tank fuel pump bypass

This might have been covered already but I couldn't find what I needed. I have an Airdog 4g on my truck along with a Beans sump. Being as I didn't need to drop the tank do the "fuel module upgrade kit" with the draw straw, what can I do to keep that pump from running? Could it be as simple as cutting the wire that runs the pump?

Pump shouldn't run if you have the AD plugged in. Because the harness should be unplugged from your stock pump and hooked to the AD

So the trucks with an in tank pump as well as an engine mounted pump shared the same harness?
