Indy Cylinder Heads

I wouldn't buy a empty aluminum soda can from Ken Lazzeri let alone a set of cylinder heads.

I have seen his hack jobs from way back when he was with McCandless Performance in NC.

There are way better head porters out there to help you get what you want done......

I have heard from my engine guy he would not ever use an Indy head, he does not believe in their port design.

I would look at ET performance in MI. Top of the line race porting stuff but very pricey.

I asked a couple of builders around the shop and everyone had heard of Indy but only one had a friend who had an experience with one of their blocks. Apparently it was a 440 Hemi block and after one pass @ Bonneville, the HGs blew and upon re-install of the heads on the new HGs, ALL the studs pulled right out the threads in the block. So, yeah, not sure I would use any of their stuff......

my computers anti virus is blocking me from going there. Says, the site contains malicious software.... just thought I'd let you know.... I tried several times. My anti virus is set pretty mild

X2!!!

You're taking a 50/50 chance with indy's craftmanship. I used their heads on a wedge motor but I went thru another source which they had to re-do some sloppy work.

So basically you're dealing with a company that tries to mass produce without much attention to detail.

Oh yeah, if you do use their products and things go south, it's always going to be your fault, not theirs for they are far superior in knowledge/craftmanship than you'll ever be.

As for my motor (gasser), I went with STAGE V for the HEMI block and stayed far away from indy's.

Too bad STAGE V doesn't do heads for the CUMMINS.

I have heard from my engine guy he would not ever use an Indy head, he does not believe in their port design

I ran a set of the very first produced on my old pro-street car,or tried.

The ports were so huge the amount of work we had to do to get them to flow was simply amazing. There are no max wedge heads that even come close to that size and it was amazing to see how much their design killed flow on the flowbench.I had thousands of dollars in work at McDowell's on mine and never got them to run right, ended up going to a B1 instead.

Lazzeri's work on Superstock motors was just as bad and I often wondered how he got a job with Indy after McCandless closed up.

Page is outdated but if u can get brian on the job he used to b pretty good . He does or did all the port work on all Trick flow heads and all summit CNC heads even designed a manifold for Holley for the 5.0s back in the day . At one time his shop was near me and I worked there P/T and once saw a prostock tractor head in there made from aluminum it was freaking huge

The head is allready done. I am working on design/fabrication of the intake now.
I have allways had a very good relationship with Russ. He is the only person at Indy that I deal with.
He is just one of those people that either likes you or hates you.
Also, a little respect goes a long way. If you call just to be a prick and raise hell, they will do the same.
