Just got the truck running, I replaced all the hard return lines with AN. But today I just noticed the injector return banjo bolt in the back of the head has something in it, I assume some sort of pressure relief valve.

My question is, do I need this in the system?

I am not running it, I have one line that runs from the injector return to the fuel tank and it seems to work fine.

That is your fuel pressure regulator for a lack of better terms.

Was just going to create a thread on this,

What fitting did you use at the top of the PRV on the rail.

Is it 14mm to AN?

Pretty sure it was 12mm...but I might be wrong, used a 90 o-ring fitting to -6AN. I used all -6 AN, ran the lines to a 4 port manifold block, and back to the stock return line.

If you have any pictures, that would be awesome. I have a hellmann fuel block inbound and figured id try and clean up my fuel supply/ return some.

Thanks in advance.

Cell phone pics is all I could get. I really only did it because the hard lines wouldnt work with the intake I made. The injector return line has a 90 out of the back of the head. I cut the factory hard line where it connects to the plastic return hose, and got a compression fitting from parker thats good for like 300psi.

Ahh perfect, thank you.

Still trying to confirm that bushing is 12mm. Ill figure it out soon enough.

It may be 14....I really dont remember!! If I think about it I will compare it to a 12mm fitting I have.

The fitting on the back of the head needs to have some kind of pressure regulator

What is the purpose? Its been running great even without it, starts right up, idles great, etc. I never even noticed the bolt until i was cleaning up after the engine was in.

Is there a stock PR on the rear of the head?

I was planning on keeping the hardline and banjo and putting a compression to AN fitting on the hardline. Dont wanna fuk with it.
