what size injectors should i move up to with my stock truck, not really tryingto get outrageous hp but i want it to roll when i need it to

275's are good, anything between a 40 and 75hp inj. increase should do well, and smoke with the comp turned up.

What kind of tranny and what is the bank account looking like? Anything more than what you have is going to cause tranny issues, if an auto sooner rather than later.

anything more than stock????????

With the comp box? Yes, without the comp box? No. You can have one or the other with a completely stock auto, either the comp or a set of injectors, but not both. You can put a set of injectors in with the comp, and you will love it!!! Right up till the tranny takes a dump :bang Before you go adding more power, invest in at least a valve body, they are fairly inexpensive and can make a world of difference in the lifespan of the stock converter and clutches. If you have the change, go ahead and do a converter at the same time, just those two items alone will make almost as much SOP meter difference as the injectors. The stock clutches etc. will hold 400+ for a surprisingly long time IF you have a converter and VB that can up the pressure etc.

As for what brand?? That is a fairly contentious subject, my personal favorite is Garmon's Diesel, but if you have a dealer for another trusted name nearby you likely won't go wrong. To me it seems the differences between all the different tranny shops shows in the higher performance applications, for Joe blow who is just gonna bump it up a little? Any good unit will do just fine.

Hope this helps.

My stock converter started slipping with just the EZ.
Put in a BD valve body and TCI TC and holds the Adrenaline just fine.
If and when my tranny goes up i'll go with Goerends no question. Customer service is the best.

I trashed my converter in mine and it was about 2 weeks after I got a juice on it. I had put stage 4 nozzles on a month before that. So I went and put a suncoast converter and VB in and the tranny is doing just fine. Stock shafts is also a problem if you plan on doing boosted launches, keep that in mind.

Also from what I understand, Edge no longer makes the Jammer tips for injectors. I wouldn't go that way anyways.

my truck has 216000 miles on it will the vb and convertor hold both, the comp, injectors and meth and water injection

just don't be dumb, if you don't have money for a built auto in the next 6mo. then don't do it. If you don't have the money you may want to start filling out credit card applications to buy a tranny with.

do the auto first then some 75-90 sticks if your gonna keep the stock turbo, I wouldnt go much bigger than the 90's on a stock turbo if you run something liek the adrenaline.

thats what i have now and its a bit warm running when you stand on it but im plannin on a bigger turbo and bigger sticks and gonna keep my adrenaline.

do what? the injectors? yea buy some used ones like i did. they aint hard to put in.

from where? idk which size to get that my tranny could handle

none... save the money and do the tranny first... Took me about 2 tax returns to save enough money for mine...

A built auto is NOT cheap... for any make...

But do it once and do it right... and never do it again... ;-):ft:

Do you work on your truck yourself? What do you consider cheap? Put a shift kit in the VB. Is it a Garmon, Goerend, Sun Coast.....NO....better than stock and on the cheap...Yes. Converter....I run an Art Carr, it was the cheapest triple disc with a tighter stall that I could find.....is it a Garmon, Goerend, Sun Coast....I have towed 25,000 lbs with it and tortured it daily and it is as solid as the day I put it in. Would you rather have a strong running truck that you are driving or a stronger running truck thats sittin in the driveway needin a tranny? Up grade the tranny first IMO.

get some DDP 80HP, then when your TC frys find something else to drive and fix your automatic. its not cheap to have power.
