As many of you know, I "Swoled" the block in the Interceptor from getting coolant in the oil due to a blown freeze plug inside the head. I was heartbroken to say the least after just building this thing last year this time from a couple of melted pistons. I just wanted to post a few pics and updates on this new build.

Many also know that several members and friends stepped up to help me by donating time, parts, etc.....Jeff Garmon helped me again and also let me use his shop work on / store my truck and junk without ever complaining.

Thank you to everyone that help me and keeped me from just selling everything and going back to stock!! I can't thank you guys enough!

The new/old block donated my CSnyder after it was decked by NGM (Donated all shortblock labor and processing at cost)...Also the VP rods donated my Smokem after they've been polished, lightened, and balanced by NGM. Stock CR pistons that were ceramic coated and have teflon skirts done by NGM. A new Spartan Billet Helix 2 cam and tappet set from F1Diesel (Awesome looking cam).

Phil Taylor (Slowpoke) refreshed my converter and it's awesome!!! Thank YOU!!

what pistons did you put back in it? 03-04 or 04.5 up? i cant tell from the coating...lol

congrats man. Now " maybe " you can meet up with me on the track so I can put a whoopin' on that new build :hehe:

I'm figuring you'll be babying it so you don't have to go through all that again :poke:

Due to money I went with the 04.5-07 pistons....There were 3 good ones in the block CSnyder donated and I bought 3 used ones from a member here (Mr. Pazak) for a VERY reasonable Price. That's why we decided to Coat them in hopes they'll last a bit longer in the heat!!

Glad you got it back up and going again. That is one heck of a windowed block for dang sure. Nice looking set up in the truck too.

Good to see your back up and running. Did you pass on decompressing it this time?

Sorta !

I wanted to really get rid of that horrible rattle and thought that the low compression was causing it...

So I'm still decompressed a bit but up some. I'm right around 16:1 but I was at about 14:1

That damn rattle is just as bad!!!! I think it has something to do with me ecm....I haven't confirmed if the weird power loss is still there due to taking it easy and trying to break it in and do my re-torques...

I may someday have to try / buy a new ecm and see......For now, I gotta deal with it!! At least it runs!!!

David, real happy to see you back on the road. Looks like all the parties involved treated you well and did a good job! Follow the break in procedures and then go to town.
Merry Christmas
Rob

One heck of a Christmas present. Got the truck back on the road and got a yes on the marriage proposal...... After all that you have been through I would still call it a very good year.....

Swole PM me your address and I will send you the new aluminum bracket for the bypass valve, it will straighten it up and looks alot better than the steel one, we had in the first kits.
