If you THINK the intercooler is the problem then do a leak down test.

I had a very small hole in my intercooler and went to a BD intercooler.. the difference was negligible around town.

Check your wastegate.

Does this same thing happen every year around the same time?

I mean do they really cool your egt 100 to 200 degrees better than stock?

I just put a bd in mine, mostly because I figured I was pushing my luck with the stocker at 85-90 psi. It made 0 difference in egt's.

Your IAT sensor is probably changing your timing curve and or fueling curve at a certain temp, that could be what your noticing. Possibly, but still very unlikely

humm didnt think about that, so a intercooler is like a waste of money unless your running alot of boost then

Well... do you have the thin stock intercooler or the thicker stock intercooler? The thin one in the stock 6.7Ls don't work as good as the 5.9L/6.7L thick ones. Still something doesn't seem right, is the turbo loose?

Well if you do you are the only one everyone else says different , ok now Iam confused!

I have the 5.9 big cooler , I have checked bolts as well as boots all is tight. Not even any soot around turbo flange.
