Is this right? My truck only makes 44psi with a htt66

Ok i did some playing around today and wanted to kick my boost up a bit so i tured the acuator arm on my turbo so it is shorter and drove around and only hit 44psi. Im runnin a pro street 66/71/16. So after that i took some vice grips and pinched my wastegate hose off and can still only hit 44lbs. I have 250hp sticks, Adren. and this pro street 66. Does this seem right? Thanks

No, it doesn't seem right. What do you make with the ADR on power level 0?

Well i went ahead and tried the nozzles. That may be my prob. Injector Parts nozzles. I only made 457hp and 916 trq with this setup also. NO WAY IN HELL THIS IS RIGHT. Il go drive in on PL0 quick.
 
i know with my ADR, 180 sticks, and my Sledpuller 66/14 I only make around 45ish, I would think that with the 250's it would be doing much more, boost leaks at higher pressures you think? Does it hold 44 or does it bleed off slowely?

I would check boost leaks as well. When I first put on mine it would only make 45 as well. I found that the gasket between the intake horn and the intake was leaking at higher boost. Once it had a new gasket it easily pegs my 55psi gauge now.
 
you probably have a blown intercooler or some other serious boost leak. when i first got my tranny built, my truck was dog, alot of black smoke on the bottom, well i didn't think much off because i had a 0 plate full forward and could hit 40psi on a stock hx35, okay then I installed Industrial injection dragon flows, and i could only make 44psi and the truck smoked like a frieght train well, i took back to my buddies shop on and we did a boost leak test, and it would only hold 20psi and the intercooler had a hole in it, after i swapped it out, i took the truck for a test drive and got on it on the highway from 40- and after the truck stopped smoking my boost gauge shot up to 55psi and slowly worked it way to 60 where my gauge stops.
 
I did a boost test and i have a pin hole in the boost elbow so i fixed that and I did another test and the gauge still wont hold pressure. It will bleed off slow but enough to see the guage neeld move. It sounds like its coming from the motor??????????????????????????
 
Map sens will only read to 44 get a mech gauge and see what it makes
 
My truck is also running like CHIT. It tries to lope and then runs smooth then tries to lope and its just a rough idle. Ive heard its my bigger nozzles and ive heard something is wrong. Is this part of my boost prob.
 
I do have a 40lb gauge and it does peg and sit there it will sometimes come short of the 40lbs

Not sure if I am 100% right on this, but I don't think it will hold pressure forever. It will bleed out through the valves. Maybe someone will correct me on this. But the map will only read to 44 lbs. like was said above.
