Was there a small hole in the side of the elbow? Its supposed to have a very small hole in it so that when you get out of the throttle, it immediately bleeds off boost held in the line, and wastegate actuator and lets the wastegate close. If the wastegate has to bleed the boost back through the elbow, it will slowly close the wastegate actuator instead of letting it close the gate instantly. You may not notice it driving normally. But in a situation where you are on the throttle hard, get off of it, and then get right back on it, your gate may still be open and cause it to spool much slower.
Just thought i would put that out there.
Also, I wouldnt trust the MAP sensor as a good boost reference. Get a good 60psi mechanical gauge so that you know for sure what you are making:st:
