Which do you think and why? I cant decide between the two. I love the simplicity and utility of the Performax series, plus the fact that there are more specific gauges. For example, you can get backpressure insead of just using a boost gauge, but I think the DiPricol Optix gauges look a little cleaner. Hell I dont know. What do you guys think?

The performax setup is sweet, more so if you putting in a group of guages.

I went IssPro EV, performax are nice, but man that module that you need to buy is pricey, 'course that is relative.

well just to give you a heads up isspro EV2's were released at sema and are available now, all electric, no module, also rail pressure and drive pressure available now, they have the same features as optix, stepper motors, led all the goodies. Dont ask me how i know!!! I will get in trouble!

I have the DiPricol in my 02, and the Performax in my 05. I really like the gauges in the 05. They now have peak recall, which is way cool, because at 121+ mph it's pretty tough looking at all the gauges. That feature alone it worth it to me.

thanks for all the replys guys! how does the peak recall work? is there a switch or somethin?

There is a wire that you momentarily ground (I have it hooked to a push button switch on the a-pillar), to do the recall. If you ground the wire for 3 seconds or more, then it will clear the recall.

Side note...why is this thread down here ?

Moving up to the correct General Diesel forum........

That was kind of a low blow Michael......

Which one, linking to a TDG thread or bringing up India? ;)

Seriously, I was not trying to be mean spirited but bringing up a simple difference which could affect availability.

Thanks,
Michael Pliska

interested in this thread because I've been using DiP's on my 3rd gens because they match perfect, but I could be sold on the Isspros... SELL ME! :p

Yeah I don't get it either. Don't see how that could be considered a "low blow", but what ever.

I use and always will use Isspro until they give me a reason not to. Thats not saying DiPricol isn't a good company or doesn't make good products, but again I've had no reason to make a change. Also, if I can get a good qaulity product with qaulity service and support US jobs, well that just makes it all the more sweeter.

Chuck, do you have a pic of them lit up at night? Do they look similar to the EVs except LED?

Not quite a night shot, but being over-mirror you can see the backlighting pretty well:

I think there are a few night shots in the following links:
