Hey i heard theres gona be a new 2.6 class next year. Any of you Indiana guys heard anything about it yet. Id like to get the rules so then i can get my truck ready for it. Anybody heard anything about the rules?

Yeah sounds like its going to be a pretty stout class. Theres been a few talks on here talking about it or someone building for it. Havent seen a set of rules yet.

Yeah....stout is right, you'll have to have 80,000 to 100,000 in a truck to run top 5 or so. Thats a shame.... that should be an entry level class and its far from that!!!! Need to get a handle on some rules other than the inlet size of the turbo!!! Also that 2.6 is a little big for a " street class" truck. maybe thats a good rule...if ya pull in the 2.6 or street class you must pull in with a big goose neck trailer hooked on with a load that is the same as the truck weighs!!! That would put a stop to the pro built motors with a 2.6 charger stuck on them to win in the lower ranks!!!

2.6/100mm exducer no tappered housings

there draging there feet on getting rules out and loosing trucks cause of it

For what its worth, a stock Duramax comes with a 2.55 charger.

If you spend 80-100,000 on a 2.6 truck you shouldnt be allowed to breed!

ITPA 2.6 trucks will still be an entry class with the 100mm exducer rule (which I realy like) and will limit the power even a built motor will make. So any one with a little know how and that buys the right parts will be able to compete.

Caseman, if you need help with rules, just PM me and i can help ya out!

Oh, and Ill be daily driving my 2.6 puller.........

The whole point of making an inducer and exducer limit was to keep the cost down! You are never going to stop people from spending money but the truth is with the limit on the charger as they have done it's going to level the playing field from the close to stock motors to the built motors in this class. You are only going to make so much power with a limit on the amount of air entering the engine. This is going to be more about truck setup and driving then it's going to be about HP.

Im sorry you'll be daily driving your 2.6 puller on the street...

Thiers already 2 or 3 trucks with that 80 -100 in them last year!!! It just going to get worse as it goes along...you'v got a few people with deep pockets that ruen the entry level classes!!! Think about it...here in BFE Indiana you got people that love to truck pull and only making 12 -15 bucks an hour...Now how can they build a truck to compeat!?!? Maybe the charger size should be determand be motor size then just a number pulled out of the air?!?!?

Why are you sorry for Bosshawg street driving a 2.6 puller. Hell several of the top 2.8 sled pullers street drive there trucks all the time, Tony B, Ric S, and Jon S I know street drive there trucks all the time and they are always at the top of their class. And as far as having 80-100K in a 2.6 puller, I hope you are including the price of a fairly new truck into that price and having someone else build it for you. Next time do some research before posting.

What you mean do research be for posting??? I have my oppinions ,most can be backed up by fax !!! I will post my thoughts just like you do!!!!!! And yes buying the truck and buying the high dollar parts to make one run in the top 3!!!

sounds like brush puller doesnt like the rules.............but your gonna have more money in a d max just because of the nature of what your spending just to get the truck.

Dude, I don't even truck pull, but you're nuts if you think people spend that on 2.6" trucks...look into the "Fax" again, maybe someone will send you something;)

What I mean by do more research is DO MORE RESEARCH. Plain and simple. Brandon stated he has 10k in his, I have 40K in mine and that includes buying a brand new 30K truck. I would love to see your FAX that backs up your statements. Your comment toward BossHawg stating that your sorry for him driving his 2.6 sled puller on the street just shows your lack of knowledge, plain and simple, that's not my opinion, that's the truth. My guess is you've never personally driven a properly setup 2.6 truck on the street before. But by all means please fell free to prove me wrong with all you factual faxes. :poke:

I sled pull my daily drive 2.6 truck.... Bought it for 26,000 out the door plus the 10,000 I have in parts thats also including some things I broke last year. I can't see someone spending 100,000 unless it's an open driveline truck? Still I can't even see many opendiveline trucks costing that much?

I wont be the most competitive truck, but ill have one running at the top of the heap. Ill be lucky if I have 5K in parts in the motor. I will have minimal labor on the cost because Im doing everything my self.

Oh and Ric, Jon and Tony are all around the 900hp range....why is that impossible to Daily drive????

Ok guys I can see that iv started somthing here... First i consider a daily driver a truck that i can hook a goose neck trailer to and hall maybe 18-20,000 lbs Across the state if i have to wile geting good fuel milage. And my egt's at 1100 or so. Maybe that is possable to do with a 2.6 turdo and fueling???? Cause your right i havent driven a cummins with that much turbo on the street cause i have no need for that much turbo on the street. So brings me to the Money, For most people we would have to buy another truck to build a 2.6 ( cause the one i have is set up for my street driving ) and all the little hi dollar goodies it takes to turn a stock truck to a truck that runs up front would be HI!!!! maybe not 80-100grand,but after 30-40 grand its all the same to ME WAY OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE!
Glad ya all liked the " FAX " thing!!!
