How do you sign up for best engineered truck award do you have to get there early for that to?
 
How much is it to sign-up for the best eng. class? I'm looking forward to a fun filled day
 
Cool I'll be there the only thing that will ruin my chance at winning is the crappy homemade intake lol. It's a big honking piece of PVC pipe with a 14x6 K&N tapered filter attached to it lol. Other than that the twin cp3's and everthing else looks like it was ment to be put there stock all nice and clean under my hood lol.
 
well that PVC might hurt you.. but i got the same kind of homemade filter system under my hood ..i aint payin 2 or 3 hundred dollars for the real stuff.:badidea:

Well it might but hasn't yet lol. I have kinda a mix and match of parts for the Intake lol I used a banks elbow to relocate the MAF sensor and then used a 4in 45 deg elbow to a 4in to 3 1/2in reducer so the filter would work. I'm the same I ain't paying for something that is actually smaller that the stock tubing and restricts airflow.
 
I know I said I was gonna try to make it, but I ended up going to the one in Charleston, and I don't think I'm going to tempt fate two weeks in a row. Had a head lift just a little with just a touch of gas, so I'll stay home.

David D was there, and he did an awesome job as always. I really wish I could make it, but it was one or the other...

Can't wait to see the results! I would not have won the high HP, but I may have won the beer dyno...

I only live 5 miles away... u know ill be there with my broke truck... jeff u got a trophy for most broke truck? lol... actually the guy with the side of his block would probly win that... eeww...

I think the "Swoled" block would be hard to beat for the "Most Broke" Truck...

yep... bumps the thread up to the top so more people see it that didnt get to before it worked its way down... and gets more info going...

kinda over used on this site i see already... but... just how it goes... i can understand if somethings being promoted though... like an event...

I did the same thing when I first started getting on forums...

It just means that we are "Bumping" this thread back to the top of the section thats in...Just trying to keep it fresh and under the "Recent" posted in threads to get more exposure....

Old threads that are posted in just keep going to the bottom or keep going pages back....

It's going back stronger this time though. Thanks to some wonderfully generous CompD members that donated some parts and time...( "THE" Jeff Garmon, CSnyder, Smokem, Wade, Don&April @ F1 Diesel )

My short block is almost finished with polished / lightened / balanced VP rods - Ceramic coated pistons with teflon skirts - Completely balanced crank assembly. New block of course...machined deck and honed cylinders...

Should run nice....

Of course, Coolant in the oil will still jack up any strong built motor...Thats what happened to that one...:nail:
