Big A,

What is the DTC you are getting with that light? I have had a problem with the SCT causing the transmission to shift funny even after returning to stock. I had to IDS the truck to get things back on track.

As a side note... I am curious why nobody is using a DrewTech CarDAQ 2534 pass-thru to read and/or write the PCM? It works quite nicely, although it's not terribly cheap.

To date I've hit 416 RWHP on a bone stock truck (DPF intact and stock airbox). Of course after 2 or 3 runs the Regen turns on and it takes a couple minutes to clear out but it sure is fun! :D 4WD launches are a hoot! I am afraid what it would do with a gutted DPF and a CAI.

Now to put some giggle gas in there and see what happens!*nx*

Later.

Bill

I don't know yet. The SCT wouldn't show a code...However when I cleared the DTC's the light would go out. The light is worse now that the Ford dealer updated the programming. It stays on all the time. I'm going to take it to another Ford dealer and see what they say. I'm also going to update my SCT while it's out......:thankyou2:

Big A, did the dealer say anything about you using a programmer? Or were they able to detect that you had used one? Just curious :pop:

Well Rsieck No they didn't have a clue. I removed the Livewire. The only thing that was left was the EGT probe, and the little box for it hidden behind the kick panel. Never said anything except about the exhaust. Not even the intake.:thankyou2:

Any updates on these things. Ive got a friend with a lot of money in his 08. And is very very powerhungry for this thing. Hes not worried about the dealer. Just wants performance. Ive tryed contacting KEM. No replys. He ordered a DPF from the DPF Delete site (one of the vendors on here). Waiting on him to get back from his training, to get the kit on. Has a sct on it. But the new tune i guess has to be loaded from laptop. Would love to stick to SCT though.

You can buyt he DPF deletes and the pipes from SCT dealers. but I thinkt here kinda "selective" as to who they give them to(the dealers that is). ID is the only one that comes to mind. Spartan has his own stuff using the Dash DAQ

I recently received my delete pipe and will be getting the SCT File tomorrow. After I get the truck back form the dealership for a coolant leak I will install them. I can't wait to see the difference ant the two sct files. I heard from others running the dpf delete and the SCT file, that they are not seeing too much of a fuel milage increase.

they sure do, here is the link.....you have a delete pipe or buy one from an SCT dealer along with the tune.....then give then your serial number off the box and the guys at sct will load your serial number in the system and it will unlock the file so you can download it. I did this lastnight and only had a chance to run it for about 5 minutes.

Well talking to my friend with his 08. He ordered a kit off of www.badptrucks.com, well over a month ago, and still hasnt gotten the kit. When he calls they give him the run around, that this piece is here and that piece is still over there. Hes pretty pissed, and honestly hes really not somebody you would wanna piss off. Anyhow, is there a link to the SCTs, DPF delete kit. Or someone with theses, hes got the itch to uncork this thing. Any info would be great. Thanks

We got a SCT with Delete file from PDI last Tuesday. i've but about 500 Miles on it driving from St. George UT to Pocatello ID and it hasnt gone into regen. The power feels good on the bottom end but doesnt really feel like it pulls hard on the bottom but doesnt have the same feel in the top end! Mileage was better i got about 1.5mpg, and that trip is all uphill. Is any body else getting this in there truck?

How do these things sound straight piped. The one im doing has 7 inch stacks. Should be on tomorrow. Hes just waiting on the flanges that arent for some reason included. Anyhow. How do they sound?

Big A, did the dealer say anything about you using a programmer? Or were they able to detect that you had used one? Just curious :pop:

I believe SCT is one of the only "programmers" that is untraceable... it leaves not footprint for the dealer to see.

Ok Update.......We ended up taking the truck to another dealer. That dealer had it for 5 days then sent it home. They had to do 2 recalls, reflash it, and fix the pitman arm. Apparently Southern Comfort Conversions put on the wrong pitman arm and it was loose and wouldn't tighten up. They told the Ford dealer they were having some problem with this and sent them a new one. At least it is covered under warranty. Oh well back to the engine. They said it was fixed after they reflashed it. They said they drove it alot and couldn't get it to come back on. Well the light came on before we got home. Called them and told them the light was back on and it was running like sh**. Took it back in the next day they found the EGR malfunctioning. Took it apart and it was melted in the housing. So they replaced the EGR and the housing, and sent it home. The light again came on before we got home. Called the dealer and told them the light was on and it was still running like sh**. Took it in the next day. They found the boost sensor was malfunctioning, so they replaced it. It has been 2 weeks and the light has not come on. However it has a bad lag in it. You can punch it and nothing, then all the sudden it takes off like a rocket. They are blaming it on the tires. It does have a 6" lift and 37's.....:bs:....I think the turbo vanes are sticking. So here we go again...:bang..... At least this dealer didn't blame the truck running like sh** on the exhaust. What do you think? I want to get it fixed so I can put the intake and tuner back in. All the money we spent and they have been on the shelf more than in the truck. I haven't even put it on the high setting yet. I think when they get it right I'm going back to the first dealer that told me we wasted all that money on exhaust and :kick: while I tell him to look it is fixed you a$$hole.......:evil
