K31 Hybrid

I would think a k31 might be a tad too big for a VP truck as a single not so much for a CR.
Wise words Dan. I really liked mine from 2500rpm on up. Driving down the street it made no boost at all.

Also, a bigger shaft doesn't help when the K31 turbine wheel is fusion welded on. Put it through some stress and they'll come apart.

ive thought alot about the silver bullet 66 in the past and most people said get it... but alot of people siad that there are alot better turbos out there for ALOT less money...

You are comparing a 2.6 to a 2.8.

What is steering you away from an s300 in the 62-66mm range? A 62 or 64 would be pretty decent with your current fueling setup.

the silver bullet 66 is a bad ass turbo on a vp truck with a set of 200hp sticks. i used to love that set-up, it rocked.

a k31/s400 sized frame turbo is gonna be too big for most trucks especially for driving it daily. they work on pulling or race trucks with VP's but for a fun and powerful DD id go with a 66mm S300

no boost at all? mine makes 1-2psi driving down the street, i do agree though the charger really comes alive past 2k. there's no common ground with this charger from my experience so far, its either on or off, and to hit the on switch on public streets :badidea:. but my truck is still loads of fun to drive, but now its mostly highways for me.

Kinda hard to tell on the 100psi boost gauge. It doesn't start moving until 24-2500 and I'm never that much on the street unless I need it lit.
