Whats yalls opinion on Hard Blocking? Eliminates all problem assc with coolant system. And I think Ill want the block fire ringed? Just tryn to get a list wrote up so I can start getting some quotes for the machine work.

Hard block it, then pump the water through the head. That is what I do with my truck. Fill to the deck or leave about 1 inch to still circulate

Thats kind of what i was thinking. How would that affect the pit-ability of my truck? Would I still be able to idle around the pits? or would I need a tow vehichle?

The good thing about a diesel is that they dont create alot of heat at idle so as long as you are not ideling alot you will be fine. What I do is pull my truck up as close to the track as possible and park it then start it 2 trucks before me. When you have to pull back to back is when it is hard on stuff.

I like the block and the head solid not going to hurt anything we ran solid blocks and heads for meny years on my minirod big block chevy .
will make the head more stable less chance of warping just my opinion.There are alot of the tractor guy's running solid heads and blocks..
