Limp Mode with Juice Attitude

A buddy of mine has an 05 Duramax with a Juice Attitude. It keeps going into limp mode. When he called Edge they told him about a weak spring that needs something done. They said to put a new stronger spring on or to put a lift pump on. How do you fix the spring?
