My 12 valve has an open diff, and I was thinking about getting a Lock Right Locker. Does anybody have experience running one? Will it hold up for drag racing?

We have em in two trucks, and so far they have worked fabulously

With the much larger engagement lugs than a standard Detroit locker, I woudl call them indestructable (touch wood)

;o)

I have had one for 5 years in my truck. Works great in my opinion. I have raced on it, but nothing more than 15lb launches. I have wheeled the crap out of it and it has held up.

I'm going to put the supposedly better no-slip in mine when funds permit. Heard alot of good things and the larger differentials seem to do better with them guessing because the carriers are bigger etc.

Mine worked good till I started making more hp then it wouldn't lock in cause I ripped the corners off the teeth. then I upgraded to the one with the springs in it (trac lock? I think) it's smoother ,but if your under 500hp and not sled pulling ever weekend I would say go for it!

Plus when mine wouldn't lock up any more I sent it in ,they let me upgrade and I only had to pay the difference! Great customer service!

Mine was in the rear. Front was open still.

I would like to use Eaton Tructrack in my Dana70, but its not available :bang , only Dana80

I put a lincoln locker in the rear.LOL I bought the powertax no slip from Haisley for 385$ The differential shops that i talked to said that the powertrax was stouter than a true detroit. My brother has run one in the front of his truck for about a year sled pullin and daily driving with no problems.

I'm tryin to decide what I want to do with the rear end in my truck (2wd), since the lincoln locker has proved to be a bad idea. Are you guys talking about the Powertrax Lock Right Locker, or the Powertrax Extreme Traction System? Some of the posts are a lil confusing (to me at least) on which product you guys are talking about. If I go with the locker, does it still allow wheel speed to differentiate? I need that so I'm not burning through tires constantly, that's why I was looking at the traction system.

$385?!?! Wow that's alot cheaper than i've seen for the no-slip powertrax. The lock rights are usually about that price though you sure it was a no-slip? If so i'm going to hit him up come tax time!

its cheaper cause its the front. the rear is the pricy one.... for 800 bucks my budy can buy front and rear lockers (no i dont know the brand) for his jeep and i can only get the rear.... goes to show bigger=bigger wallet

I've ran the Lockrites, ARBs, and no-slips in my rockcrawlers. Yes, Illinois, I've even ran the crude, tooth-loosening Lincoln-Lockers ;)

Lockrites are extremely good, for the money. They are a little noisy in common usage, but work very well. If I ever have the need to buy another locker, I'll be going lockrites. :)

I drove my truck on the street last year with the welded rear and it wasnt to bad for a fun night out on the town. The lockright seem to be the way to go.

Driving a truck with a welded rear on the street every now and then ain't no big deal. And I don't really mind the tire drag, but it simply eats the tread off the rear tires.

I didnt figure it could be any worse than the burnouts i was doing. LOL

Odd, ever link i've seen shows around $500 for the unit for the front of my truck atleast. The Lock Rights are around $385 though. I emailed Haisley and hope to hear back from them soon. So far as I understand it powertrax 92-0460-3000 is the model I need for my front dana 60 30 spline axle. These axles definitely aren't c-clip correct? They list a different part number for c-clip and i'm 99.9999% sure these are not c-clip axles.

powertrax 92-0460-3000 - Google Product Search

To clear things up there are two versions of this differential from powertrax. The lock-right
-noisy
-cheaper
-lots of good reviews

No-Slip
-quite smooth engagement
-reported to be stronger
-lots of good reviews
- down side is price
