long wheel based trucks and power

ok i got a 92 long wheel base 159" and it has 2 beds on it a front bed with welder,bottles,leads,jacks and its made to be kindof light,the back bed all 1/4 deck and tail and 3/16 sides with boxes and a hefty goosneck.my question is how much power is too much for a truck that weighs in a 12k and has a long frame.Im makin around 276hp and 665 tq at scheids fest in august and want more.good idea or bad idea and with an or another truck which i got an 85 gasser.thanks guys sorry for the long story

Crank 'er up as much as you can...if it starts twisting, weld some reinforcements in...heck ya got a welder on the truck LOL

Seriously though, I see no problem with the long wheel base.
