Looking at a S480 on ebay, need help

Anybody have any information on Deere part number RE532334? It appears to be an S400 with a T6 mounting flange but I can't find any wheel or housing specs. It is off of a 13.5L motor...

The Borg Warner part number MIGHT be 176593 or 176594 but I'm not sure.

Probly a 1.32 96MM

I'm assuming you're referring to exhaust wheel and housing correct? I'm curious about the compressor wheel too. No wheel specs were on the drawing that both my buddy and I were able to find at work.

I'm guessing that this might have an 80mm inducer but that is merely a guess at this point.

what Tier 13.5 is this on? assuming Tier II? Tier III were VGT...

also watching.....

One quick question....anyone ever try running a good old HT3B as a single. Put a 22 or even the standard 26 on it and it seems comparable to these others that are "all the talk" now.

Just trying to get the best bang for the buck and use something I can pick up almost anywhere!

I'm assuming Tier II or possibly some marine application. I really don't know. All my buddy and I can find are vague spec sheets that don't have any information about the compressor and turbine wheels. I'm sure someone at work knows what the specs are (since they are the ones who speced them) but figuring out who to ask about it may be like trying to find a needle in a haystack since Deere isn't exactly a small company.

you can buy them brand new from John Deere for under $700, thats with the race cover which is standard for the john deeres these other guys are just raping ya on the race cover.
Is the part number for the 's480' a big secret? I've got a BW part number for one at the house. Would also love the part number for the Deere or L10 application s300 62/71 center section.. anyone:kick:?

If you're referring to Deere's "RECON".. no, it does not show compressor or turbine wheel specs...I will ask some people I know over in Waterloo for a better idea of specs and applications. but, as for price...local dealer says $2403 w/ $100 core. yikes...:kick:

I've been looking through the JD parts stuff. I don't work directly on engines or product development so I don't have access to some of the stuff that some of the engineers might. I have been bugging my buddy who works at the Product Engineering Center in Waterloo but he apparently can't find any more specs on it than what I can either.

If the guys you know in Waterloo know what the specs are I'm all ears!
