looking to run 03/04 injectors and pistons

My 06 melted a piston so im lookin to do a rebuild.

I have a complete set of 03 pistons and a new set of 03 injectors in the shop and i was lookin to use them up since i don't have a use for them anywhere else right now.

Is there any benefits to this conversion?

Any advice or suggestions while the motor is appart is appreciated

03 style injector tips are all that will be needed if swapping the 03 style pistons. 04.5 and up programming will work fine.

re-entrant vs. non re-entrant piston design is the basis behind the swap back to the pre 04.5 style/post 07 style pistons.

so i thought people said the body of the injectors are all the same just the tips were the different part?

So if i wanted to run 90hp tips i can just put them on my 06 injector bodies?

Tim did this a swap a couple years ago.
I am doing same thing with marine pistons, I sent
my injectors to Don to switch over, Im not sure
if there is anything else involved, my truck is 05.
