fuel knock timing knock same thing.....caused by fuel being injected to early....i had a set of .093's in my 24v and they didnt make much of a diff. honstley i dont see the need for biger tubes or lines unless your putting out a crazy amount of hp or you want to sound like you are, the only reason i got the biger tubes is because the stock ones leaked....its a 98 24v thing apparently lol

Never heard of a fuel knock. I understand the advanced timing for warm up, I don't understand the fuel knock though. Mine will still knock after it's warmed up, not as bad, but still does.
I'm lookin for a set of tubes right now. Found a couple of sets. I may give it a try and see what happens. If it don't work then I'm not out much.

EDIT: I forgot to add.....I've also picked up a lope this winter too. It already sounds like I've got bigger tubes/lines on it, somewhat. I'm not sure what's causing that either. I'm thinking there is sumthin causin my lope AND timing problem, just haven't figured out what.

I bought a set off ebay for like $20, used a bigger drill bit (can't remember the size) to drill out the filter, then a #40(.098) drill bit to drill out the rest.

this is goin to sound stupid but what are the tubes?
These are what the fuel lines hook to at the head. The tubes run through the side of the head and the end of the tube sticks into the side of the injector to deliver the fuel.
 
Ive got .093 lines and i drilled my tubes with a .093 drill bit. The truck only lopes at idle in gear at a stop. It never did this until I added the .093 lines. The tubes had no affect on the idle.
 
mine lopes at idle in park SO pump stock lines drilled tubes no boxes and mach 4.5 it also loped with mach 1.6's and some huge NOS only injectors it has loped on 3 different motors only constant has been the tubes and lines

be careful what you wish for the lope will drive you crazy after a while. and i'm not sure what long term effects it will have on injectors and pistons, as well as other componets i wish i could fix my lope

before you say worthless info read your own post. i garantee i have made more power than you have with a VP truck and i always ran STOCK lines and tubes. what you said is worthless. dont tell people their ideas or info is worthless if you have no idea what you are talking about yourself.:bang
 
I will be getting on the dyno in the next couple of weeks, if some body is willing to loan me a set of .093 lines and tubes I will dyno them vs .084 lines and tubes vs. stock.

like i said i dont THINK(notice the word think lol) a so/ho/hot rod vp will push enough fuel to need biger tubes, little lone lines, the monster and p pumps are a diff story. i would be intrested in seeing the dyno differance's i doubt it would be little to any.


and what is the point of .093 tubes and stock lines???*bdh* thats what i ran, but thats because the stock 98 tubes are prone to leaking.


now i ran .120 lines on my 12v and they have the same affect that most people want out of the tubes/lines on the 24v. loaped, chuged, and damn near impossible to take off in 2ed gear. im running the stock lines and cant tell a bit of power diff, just idles smoother.

His post was worthless! he said build a real drag racing motor or pulling motor if you want it to lope. Must not be around VP trucks very much because all I have seen with lines and tubes lope and I don't even have a VP truck and know that. Your so worried about jumping all Tyrels every post you starting to make worthless post also. Yeah we know you can make power on stock lines and tubes witn No Lope.

My POS Idles smoother with .093 tubes than with stockers with a hrvp!
 
Sorry but i have also ran stock lines and tubes with my setup and at hiher RPMs while pulling its does not feel near the same as it does with .093's! Your willing to bet that you have made more power then me with a VP, HAHAHA I dont care, come pull against me at TS, his post was not informative and have since talked to him threw PM's so why does it bother you so much?? GET OVER IT! And i have heard 3 VP's all with bigger lines and tubes all lope i have no idea why yours doesnt MUDN? More power then me on a VP?? OK!
 
I have read on haisley machines website and they say do not run .093s on a stock pump and a auto trans. They say the truck will not idle.

re read my post :bang never said that bigger tubes and lines didnt make trucks lope. i was commenting on you saying you need bigger lines and tubes in order to make power. you telling me to come pull against you is like me saying come drag race against me. it will never happen. cant tell me that the .093 make more power with out getting on a dyno which you are scarred of. like i said earlier, please dont give advice on chit you dont know about. SOP meter dont mean crap. cant say that i havent made more power than you with a VP cause you dont know how much power you have besides the pants meter.
