Like it says. I lost an injector in my daily driver and need to get a new set. I tried the search button but haven't found alot on the newer sac injectors being made by SDX with most of the info being a couple years old. I am debating 5x14 or 5x16 injectors but am concerned about the street manners. I can deal with a little haze at idle but want a clean burning injector cruising that I can actually hit the pedal without errupting in smoke. Obviously WOT smoke is fine. It seems like the 5x14 will fit the bill but I am considering stepping up to the 5x16s. A few years ago it looks like they hazed alot but I believe that was due to the setup at the time and VCO nozzles. Anyones experiences on running 5x16 sac injectors on the street would be helpful here.
My setup on the truck is an unbeched plateless 180 pump with 022 DVs and 362/475 twins. I do have a Hamilton cam waiting to be installed also. My goal is a balanced setup for daily driving that has the power but I need to balance it out with smoke control and an injector that is capable of decent MPG.

go with the 5x.014 they are capable injectors. And depending on how you drive they should achieve the same mileage. Jason Sands got 21 or so mpg with 5x.026 scheid injectors.

i tried running anything larger than .014 for a dd was to much for me.. and considering .016/.017 injectors only showed at most 25hp gain was not worth having to tow with an egg under foot and a smoke trail..

Thanks for the help guys. Looks like 5x14s it is. I will try calling SDX in the morning. Out of curiousity did anyone ever get a set of the 148* 7x10s from SDX? I totally forgot about them till I was in the vendor section.

Talked to Jaimie today and 5x14s are on order. We will see how close they are to the 2 week qoute. Running on 5x9s with over 200k on them sucks. Sad part is they have more power under the turbo and light of faster than the old injectors. Thanks guys.

Wow, way to call out the guys making your injectors.

I didn't. They are talking about me hoping they get here in 2 weeks due to the junk I am stuck driving on till they get here. My wording came out a little wrong and I ment no offence to the boys at SDX. I have no ill will and I can think of atleast one other builder I could off went with instead if I did have a problem with the service. I had to go back to a set of injectors that smoke like a frieght train off boost and have been sitting on a shelf for 5 years. They are toast! Once again, my bad wording and I totally respect Jamie and am even trying to kick him a little business on another board. A guy needing an injection pump.

I didn't take it as you knocking them at all, that's why I said it.

I met Jamie briefly, talked to Chris a while, like both of em a lot, good guys.

Maybe I was the a$$ on that one and I apologize. I just see alot of people (not on this site) that call sdx out because sometimes people get busy. I agree these guys are awesome. They helped me out on a weekend when I was in a very tight spot because of a bad injector. Just hate to see a good name get slanderized so to say.

Again sorry about this misconception and I should have kept my mouth shut.

BRE, no problem here. I feel the same way and appreciate the fact these boards let us find the vendors that take care off their clients. Just think how bad off we would be if our only source for parts would be magazines or walking through the pits.

Man, you know that's not how it is here:D

You saw what you thought was an undeserved swipe at a vendor, you spoke up to defend them. We've all done the same, and I'm sure we will all continue to.

Speaking up is what gets things clarified, and helps knowledge build. I don't think you were being an ass at all.

I agree without sites like this one, getting good parts that last from good people, alot of people like myself would be SOL. Lol

And again thanks for understanding how I meant that.
