Lowering 4x4 with leaf springs

Anyone lowered a 4x4 1st gen before? Need to get my crank centerline lower, and simply because I want to lower it a little. Done plenty of lift kits, but have never tried to lower a front leaf setup. I'm open to any ideas, thanks in advance.

You're going to have to notch the oil pan. I have looked at it extensively. There is only around 1.75"of clearance as is.

Well I sure as heck don't want to do that. The axle that close? I thought there was around 2" before it hit the bump stops up front. When I get back to the shop I will have to take a better look. Would be a bummer, don't want to drive 1 1/2 hours to run a 9 and get thrown off the track.
