these straight through glasspacks aren't quiet or anything, they just sound like crap to me :eek:

What do you favor instead of a packed muffler? I personally don't like the flutter sound from my friend's 05 with a 4" Magnaflow. I want some good sound, but with the Mega I'm really concerned about crazy drone. What do you have on your Mega?

How about the FTE Resonator? Thoughts? Looks like most that have tried them like 'em pretty well!

thats what I got on mine and its got a good deep tone to it. its not raspy at all sounds that a mad 2nd gen :ylsuper:
 
Been doing the sound clip thingy

I've got it down to the MBRP and the FLO-Pro. I've got the 2nd gen manifold with my twins already so right now,...it will be one of those.

Any drone problems with those two I mentioned above?

whatever man, a packed muffler softens the overall sound... a non-packed muffler just turns down the volume

I'm not trying to sell you anything, just telling you that I think packed mufflers sound like crap
 
Mbrp here and I like it but wish I woulda installed the twins then the muff instead of all at once
my ears still ring but I don't need ear plugs in anymore on long trips so that's nice (qclb)
 
I forget through all this if you have tried to listen to a 5 inch straight pipe sing, definitely not a soft fluffy flopper....... I don't think I have any clips with mine and the 5 inch straight. turbo will make a lot of difference in the sound also, my sound is going to be changing soon, going to have two sets of wheels chopping up the sound.
 
We are currently having some testing done on a 6" muffler, with 5" inlets and outlets. The muffler is 31" overall length. As I get input, I can keep you posted.
