The Mason Dixon Turbo Diesel Club http://www.masondixontdc.com/ will be holding our 3rd Annual Drag & Dyno Day at Cecil County Dragway, Rising Sun, Maryland http://cecilcountydragway.com/ on Saturday, July 11, 2008. Gates will open at 8:00 AM and racing will be from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Like previous years, this will be a fun filled day of relaxing Test & Tune and Grudge style racing with a limited number of “Racer’s” permitted as to insure participants can make as many passes as they would like. This is an “Outlaw” style event meaning, vehicles can go as fast as they want as long as they can pass NHRA Tech for their times! (No Exceptions!) There will also be an ET bracket style “Gambler’s Race” organized for the diesel trucks that want the chance to win some money.

We will be teaming up and sharing the track with some of the “Grassroots Drag Racers” from 1320X.com http://www.1320x.com/ and their Outlaw 10.5, Outlaw Drag Radial, and Manufacture Cup cars. Your chance to see some true doorslamin’ American Muscle cars in action.

David Dunbar and Mike Batterson from Diesel Performance Motorsports http://www.dieselperformancemotorsports.com/ will have their Mobile Dynojet 248C on hand to handle the Dyno activities. David’s dyno is considered the “Standard” in diesel performance circles and this is your opportunity to see how you stack up nationwide. The dyno fee will be $75 Cash for 3 pulls and will be in addition to any entrance fees to the track. Dyno sign-up will be first come, first serve the day of the event.

“Racer” tickets for this event will be $50 in advance or $60 at the gate (if available) and will entitle the holder to admission in the track and a Tech Card to race. There will be ONLY 120 “Racer” tickets available. “Racer” tickets will be available for sale starting June 1 and I will supply the contact and payment info when we get closer. Spectator and Pit-crew admission will be $10 per person at the gate the day of the event.

Any Sponsors or Vendors interested in being a part of this event please contact me at dockboy75@comcast.net .

So mark your calendars and spread the word!! Talk with anyone who attended previous years about what a great time this event is!!

Thank you,

Greg (Dockboy)
Mason Dixon Turbo Diesel Club Vice Pres.

Came last year, should be there running the track this year! Look forward to find out what the truck will do on a good track!!!

Had to work last year and missed the event. All i heard was how much fun it was. I hope to make it this year.

Weather looks good, a little warm but should be a great day!!

Racer tickets will be available at the gate, so get there early!!

David will be at my house with the dyno Fri evening and setup early Sat. morning at the track.

Don't miss a GREAT time!!! :)

Does that mean we can do dyno runs in your driveway Friday night? Neighbors' cool with that?

See you Saturday.

Everything is all set at the track and ready to roll for Saturday!! Weather looks great with only a slight chance of a late afternoon shower, so get there early!!!!!

A few housekeeping notes:

Palmer Fuels will be open at least until Noon for nitrous filling if needed.

Concession stands will be open for food & drinks.

No glass bottles allowed on track property, so plan any coolers accordingly.

Any questions on what you are allowed/not allowed to bring, see the Cecil County Dragway website http://www.cecilcountydragway.com

THIS IS A DRAG RACE NOT A SPRING BREAK PARTY!!!!!!!!

We want everyone to have a great time, but please act in a mature and responsible manner as this is a family event!!!

This includes at the track AND on the surrounding roads!! You WILL be ticketed if racing or doing burnouts on the surrounding roads!!

IF I SEE ANY BLACK SMOKE OR TIRES SPINNING OTHER THAN ON THE DYNO OR THE DRAG STRIP THAT PERSON WILL BE EJECTED IMMEADIATLY!!! NO WARNINGS OR EXCEPTIONS!!!!

If you want to show someone how “bad” your truck is, do it on the dyno or track, not in the pits or on the surrounding roads!

See everyone at the track!!!! :D

By the way............

There will be Racer Tickets available at the gate!!

I would like to thank all those that made it out to the event today!!

It would have been nice to see more racers show up, but I know those that did had a great time. Especially the gentleman who got in 40 passes!!!

Congrats to Aaron for winning the Gamblers Race for the 2nd year in a row!!

A special thanks to David Dunbar and Mike Batterson for the dyno operations. It was great to spend time with my old friends!!

Also to Jim Halsey and the crew at Cecil County Dragway for letting us smoke up their track.

Those that decided not to come, missed an awesome day at the track!

Hey Greg, that was a pretty stout launch there.....what is your audio set at on your recorder? I am trying to figure where to mount mine under the truck for pulling..
