i have just found this amazing forum. I was reading the thread where you guys helped Jeemu with his om605 mercedes project. I also am tuning a om605 but i was using an electronic governor pump. I have went as far as i can with it and can't get anymore than 5500rpm with it. The ecu cuts fuel at 4900rpm but it revs to 5500rpm. It made 368hp and 426ft lb. Now i'm going to build a mechanical pump and try it. I fitted 7.5mm elements to electronic pump, now i will fit them to mechanical pump.
I was going to fit electric inline pump with bigger bore diesel pipes from the tank to the pump and fit diesel filter housing from a truck. How much will this help?
This car is used for drifting but i want to quarter mile it as well. I am using a hx35 from a cummins leyland daf with half of the 18.5cm exhaust housing blocked off. The housing is too big.
