Might be way out in left field

I am putting a 93 Cummins into a 87 2wd 1500 Burb. Why? Cause I can and I want to have fun! I will pull and race it too. Not for money but for fun.

If you want to keep it auto, go with a 48RE. You KNOW they will handle the Cummins (unlike the 4R100) and are a lot lighter than the Allison.

If you make any kind of power, either transmission will need $$$$ put in it to hold together. I've learned that either one will hold the power. Actually the 4R100 fully built is alittle cheaper than a 48RE fully built (so I've been told). The only reason I went with the 48RE is that I was already familiar with them and basically found a new one for next to nothing. I'm still trying to sell my 4R100... need a spare? If you do go the 48RE route, I have a couple of the transfer case input shafts laying around that you will need to change out.

Pull the Ex.:D Who wants to see another dodge go down the track....

Yeah I guess I will go with the 48re instead. I am definitely gonna pull it and have fun with it. Gotta have fun with what little bit of money my wife and I have every month.
