Modded Rails!!! Injector failure??

All this to say your metal piece could have been something other than the modded rail.

I know it... When I first started this post I pulled my injectors, lines, and rail and sent them to be cleaned.. When we found the metal in there I assumed the metal came from the rail cause I had put the modded rail on shortly before the failure.. After getting it all back together it ran for about an hour then it started to miss out again and knock like it dropped a valve.. I pulled it all apart again and sent the injectors, lines and rail back to be cleaned... I pulled the cp3 off and sent it to be checked. Metal flakes were in the cp3 too.. I have a stock filter, and 2 micron filter.. Wesley

I think you've found your problem.

I would say, based on your comments attached, that the problem was in fact originating from the cp3 modifications. The filter arrangement you have is good but it is "before the fact" and wouldn't help you at all in this instance.

I agree.... I hope that now that the cp3 is clean I can get it back together and save for a smarty now...
