more fuel

Your 62 should definitely be lighting way before that. My 62/71/13ss was lit at 1600.

Yeah when im empty. I have welding machine and steel bed on my truck now and it will lite (10psi) 16-1700 but when i was totaly empty it was around 1800 or so till it made 10psi. But on average since i run my comp box 2-4 it dont do nothin till almost 2k.

Ill look around and see if i can find dyno sheet but it didnt lite til 2k or so on dyno then run out decent. Ive got some thing goin on with fuel on my truck but back to the guy with 66 and wantin 80lbs of '' boostin'' power!

Its a 66/71/? Not sure what the last number is don't know what it means but it lights good at 1800and pulls hard at 2k

Pretty sure its a 14. What more boost gonna do for you? Does it clean the smoke up decent!

I think thats good. But as other have said More boost does not always equal more power. It can be a sign of inefficiency.

Jetpower made around 900 with a silver bullet with 42 psi IIRC

Also boost is a measurement of restriction, i think its been a while.

Your a stick, i thought yall lit sooner?

Well in my cr it did but ive had other people drive it and noticed same thing. My buddy has same everything but 71 and lites faster than mine! Idk But im also at 11,800lbs as of yesterday so its heavy and slow. A local guy here has 150s and 64 with drag comp that lites quicker than me and runs good and clean! Ive got a fuel prob and it has alot to do with spool.Once a blue moon my truck will lite good and run right but those days are few and far between!

Damn 11800lb, thats a lot. Yeah 150's arent a lot.

For me its like im pullin a trailer 24-7 and even worse pulling 5er too!

Manifold pressure only means so much. A turbo will only create so much before it becomes inefficient. Also the more boost it makes the faster it is spinning. Spin them to fast and they will start to break shafts. An HX35 will make 50lbs of manifold pressure. Will it like it NO. Will it last doing this NO. I have pushed a stock HY35 with the factory waste gate setting of 20-22lbs to 30-31 per the data logging on my ADR. I guess the simplest way to put it is fuel makes Boost. I was testing the box when I got it back. I didn't want to swap turbos if the box wasn't right. I think you aren't making much pressure because your turbo lights and then 800 rpms later your comp is cutting fuel. I would try a drag comp or different fueling box to will rev to 3200-3300 rpms. I have a drag comp. It doesn't fuel any where near as hard as my ADR. Also just curious do you run a drive pressure gauge?

If you don't have headstuds, get them. Your playing with fire with out them. I have pushed 45-47 on stock bolts with out blowing the head gasket. From what I have gathered that's about all stock bolts and gaskets want.

I didnt literally mean it didnt lite till 2400 what i was trying to get at was buy the time truck started pullin hard it was short and sweet due to comp!

And what we are getting at is that it should be lighting way sooner and not be his problem. Granted a drag comp is a much better program but not his problem. His problem is he has no clue about making power nor how all of his parts work together and needs to spend some time searching and doing some basic trouble shooting before asking stupid questions like, "I want 60-70psi of boost because its cool."
