And all I can say is holy chit!!!:rockwoot:
I'll be the first to say that I didn't believe in a drop in cam for the 12v's, but Fletcher and Taylor made me an offer that I couldn't refuse. This is the most noticable mod that I have done to my truck.

I'm a little bummed that I couldn't do a dyno run with my current setup before the cam swap, but due to my stock cams gear walking off about a 1/2", plus the cam pushing the expansion plug out of the back of the block :doh:I had to do it right away.

Right now my truck has my tight converter back in it(stall at the line is around 1500 rpm) and a Pro Street 66/71/14 and the truck spools better now than it did with a loose converter(2000 stall) and a Super B Special. The power is instant and a lot more throughout the whole powerband. I should have some new track times and dyno numbers by this weekend.

Cams are a great addition to these trucks. I know it made a difference in my 24v, I can only imagine the benefit it gives a 12v. Can't wait to see how you like it after the newness wears off.

With a Fletcher cam and your west coast dyno skills... I say add a Banks sticker and you'll be around 900! LOL

Keep us up on how it does! How is Eric liking his?

I wish around 900, but I'm out of air. It still smokes like a freight train on the topend...there's still plenty of fuel left for nitrous:evil

Erik's liking his cam, I think he picked up around 2mpg.

How's your truck doing, I'm guessing you made it home ok? It's sounding like were gonna hit up the test n tune in Sac on saturday if your gonna be around.

I didn't know about the test and tune == where at?

I'm not gonna be ready for awhile... it drives ok, just eating water now.

Bummer about the water. Sacramento raceway still has some Saturday test n tunes, and wednesday night drags going on. Saturday seems to be an easier day to make it up there for us.

Well if you all will be there, I'll go to watch, cheer and video... let me know

Glad to hear you got it up and going Brett. Don't go breaking things at Sac.

That's it, I'm ordering one :rockwoot: ....I've been on the fence about this one for a while since i'm running a laggy single. This should help make driveability better since it's my DD.

and the price sure sounds right, It was great to meet your crew there Brett.

Thanks Ron, I'm hope I don't !

Congrats on the new cam Brett!

Scott
thanks Scott.

Dumb question Brett- the new one is a bolt-on cam?
Not a dumb question, but I'll give you a dumb answer, no it's not a bolt on gear. I had planned on getting a retainer from Haisley before I put the cam in, but due to the circumstances I had to throw it in without it. Ordering the retainer is definately on the to-do list for the winter, I'm wondering if I can get away with installing it in the truck.

It was good to finally meet you Bob.

I would highly recomend Fletchers cam, All the guys gave me crap about doing one and after I got all my tuning bugs worked out it is crazy how fast I can spool. With a bullet and very tight converter i can make 50spi in first gear b4 it shifts. The cams are easy and could be done in half a day if you have half a clue.

can't wait to try out my 1-08.

Jp, I've got a feeling your gonna like it. Is the 1-08 a drop in, or did you have to cut the pistons?

I don't like to post anything up without having some numbers to back it up, but this cam made such a difference that I couldn't resist.

Yes Fletchers Cams are very good products. You will love the way they spool and make power. Would you expect anything less from Fletcher? We are the Distributor for Diesel Pro products. We have them in stock. Thanks, Brady II 1-800-955-0476

Cool deal Brett! Why the swap from the 64 to the 66 compressor?

Cant wait to see some #s Brett ..I'm doing a cam sawp this winter just know how big to go yet
