Im thinking 12v, with around 500 to the wheels through a 47rh. Im gonna switch the front end to a ford d60 with the driver side diff and use the whole dodge drive train including a d80 rear. Im gonna try and go 12.5 with it and still be decent on mpgs. I think the lightweight of it will do me good. right now with the sbc/ms465 and ther 24c tcase it weighs 4850. so i figure ill probly go 5800 or so.

Thank you guys i got the top off to replace some weather stripping and so i took the chance to snap some pics. I like it a lot with out the top on and that thing has to weigh at least 200 pounds mabey more, so ill be shre to take that off when i go drag racing!

Very cool project, sounds like a really familiar build ...... Except for a few minor differences . There's a few of us over a CK5 who have done or are in the process of 12valve swaps.

Yep im over there a little bit latley good site over there. Just not a lot of info about diesel conversions other than a few 6.5 conv. I was originaly thinking of doing the nv4500 behind the 12v then i decided i wanted to race it so there goes that notion.... I think a good 12 or 13 second k5 is just what i need to break up the boardum...
