My spool valve build!

I am currently looking into whether the divider of yours failed from erosion, this is most likely the case. Max is the only other person to have this issue, his eroded the center of the divider away(both were ductile iron), this is certainly caused by high(excessive) EGT's.

I have had another ductile block crack the divider, but it remained intact, also due to high EGT's. The other 50% of them(some steel) are still in service and will be updated as soon as we can get to them, Ronnie has run his for a year with no signs of erosion or cracking(ductile). If anyone wishes to make them out of mild steel, ductile, or even stainless steel I wish them the best of luck.

Weston- just asking have you ever thought of having them coated with a thermal barrier coating?

Thanks guys! I decided to weld it on because I didn't wanna have to worry about anything workin loose and goin thru my turbo. The only thing I would ever need to change would be the actuator anyways and it unboltes.

How has this been working out for you? It's about time for me to upgrade the turbo in my signature with more fuel and an aftermarket turbo. After reading a recent article in Diesel Power, I've been leaning more towards a big single over the compound option.
