Need help...Cleaning 6.7 VGT Turbo

I am doing a He351ve swap on my 2002 24v. But before I install it I would like to take it apart and clean it. I heard that they tend to soot up and the vane action could become stuck. Does anyone have instructions, diagrams, or any advise before I get started? Thanks

Just take the exhaust housing off and move the actuator lever so that the collar is sticking all the way out and remove the big ring that goes around the outside diameter of the collar. I used a piece of 120 grit sandpaper to clean it off, just be light with it.
