need help installing billet timing cover

Double fail for not recognizing why you failed in the first place.

Ask yourself what would cause a run away condition...

if the oil seal really provides enough oil to cause a run away condition I'm smashing into the nearest tree, and solving my problem after all. If anyone asks, it happened too quick and I didn't think to push in the clutch and pull over. I thought you were telling me I failed for rigging up the solenoid.

thinking on that line though, if there is enough oil going into the intake, then it'll most likely have damaged the compressor wheel on the smaller turbo. I guess a smart man would have both turbos rebuilt. damn. more money

Yeah you dont want a turbo to let go on you... When I had mine on the dyno my hx35 let go and all of the compressor wheel pieces went through my intercooler up into the intake manifold into the head. Had chunks in my valve seats. Thank goodness the exhaust wheel was ok and it didnt go into my s400.

Hopefully you can get everything straightened out. Sorry to hear that you bought a lemon and **** went wrong on the truck after you bought it.

Make sure you have full coverage then, because it's happened before.

I would check the secondary, but it isn't necessarily ruined.

Full coverage. I woudn't do it on purpose, don't think I'm trying to do insurance fraud. If I can get the timing set and these oil leaks fixed, then it really should be a killer combination and a total blast, just been frustrating these first few months

It'll really be a killer combo if you throw those 370s in the garbage can.

I already talked to the guys over at CumminsPerformanceParts.com and they did right by me on some of the parts for the repairs. I'll probably get injectors from them when the time comes. and that new dual inlet intake is sexy. Just not sure if I want to give up my grid heaters living in upstate New York.

which s300 are you running? CPP sells some nicely priced items.

It would be pretty funny if that guy was the PO

Most cummins when first started have almost a 100psi of oil pressure thats cold. So say ur cruisin down the road a 2000rpm.Thats usually roughly 50-60psi of hot oil pressure. Top turbo goes the primary is pushing enough air that it will atomize pretty good the it runs away and engine runs dry. Just saying fix the right stuff first.

Not if you plan on running it at all in the winters up here. Just mt thoughts.
