I keep getting the Crank shaft position sensor code and I just replaced it a month and a half ago. The only symptom I have is the same thing I had before hard cranking. I thought it was the starter at first and I wiggled the small wire next to the main power wire for the starter and it fired right up. not there is no engine light on but it is still doing the same stupid crap and the obd2 keeps pulling that code. some one help.

Did the old sensor you replaced have a groove cut in the end of it? If it did, the tone ring on the crank is loose.

how do I fix that??? lol sounds like a fun job!!! I am gonna check right now actually good thing I keep most of the parts I replace! is there any othr way to tell if that tone ring is loose?

Pan has to be pulled to fix it. When the ring gets loose, it'll start wearing a groove into the end of the sensor.
