need tech help on how to build a 2.6 sled puller

mtr's are too aggressive for the clay up here a/t's are what you want bfgs or superswamper trxs radials. yeah i meant brandon, his truck is completely different now.

i know 13mm are alot better but also alot more expensive, a 215 pump will get you into the top 5 here in ohio, but if you can afford a 13mm pump then get one

Smokem I think it will do ok that is what I have a 96 215 p7100 cds5k no plate some dvs a s465 and 5x16 timing at 25,3850cb. But I have 5.13 gears and 33" sts and pull 4th gear it runs good up here. But a different world down thier might take my truck to schieds just to see where it is with some real trucks.

Weston how do you think a 215 with full cuts, 5X.016 and a 465 would stack up?

Understood, I hate to give up some street driving to go to a 13mm pump.

ya the 2.6 class is getting way out of hand.... look at brandons current truck. and his isn't the craziest out there..

Thanks for all the info. When you use Van haisley's cam do you have to fly cut your pistons? and is there a wild cam out there you can run until you have to pull the whole motor down. I talked to Van haisley a few months ago and asked him what it cost to build me a 800 to 900 hp 12v He laughed and said send me the motor and 25k and we'll go from there. I'm guessing he was serious. I don't want to build the whole motor until I have to. So I guess I want to change things up to figure out what set up works good for me. then Build the whole thing right. Now keep in mind I drive my trucks in town the same way I would drive with a sled hooked. I have been told that if a product lasted me 50k miles it would last most people a life time. That is one reason I don't sell my trucks to people I know LOL

parts and labor add up quick don't they? :D Haisley has alot of cam options, but i think you'd be better off going with a hamilton big stick if you don't want to fly cut your pistons.. Zach at hamilton can really work with you on the entire top-end of the engine... smart guy..
