Jr? Really? Get the **** outta here.
Is it cool now to say you only listen to music that's >3 decades old or only good enough to be popular in texas? LOL. Don't get me wrong, jennings and jones and cash and haggard were all top notch, but there is other country out there.

But I feel I should expand on that...
On the 3 decades comment - Did you miss the CLASSIC country on the top of my post? Snedge put up classic country videos.
The songs I put up I consider timeless anyways. I was not around when they were originally cut, but I can understand where the artists are coming from and what they are writing about.
On the only popular in Texas comment - It's not my fault Nashville is ignorant to real Country music. Quite frankly, I like the fact that Texas Country is not mainstream.
Nashville has a template for their music - You have two groups; the Brokeback Flatts bands and Taylor Swifts to appeal to the Pop listeners, and the "I have to tell you how Country I am" group. The aforementioned have to sing about their trucks, guns, beer, "insert redneck cliche here".
I'll bring it back to the modern era for you...
For the Pop Country...

For the "I have to tell you how Country I am" crowd...
