Yeah i was talking to my buddy and he told me to come on this site talk to you guys about it with all my different options and see what ur guys thiughts were?? Wanting to do a cummins swap but might stick to the ford brand and put a powerstroke out of a OBS ford 94-97 year range?

well... if you really want to stay ford go for it. otherwise i vote for a cummins swap and some body work :welcome:

Welcome to CompD, two pieces of advice for you. 1) I hope that you have think skin because sooner or later you are going to get pick on and 2) If you have a question try searching for it first before you ask it.

The only Ford in-house designed and manufactured diesel engine used in F-series trucks is the new 6.7L Powerstroke. The 6.9L/7.3L IDI, 7.3L Powerstroke, 6.0L Powerstroke, and 6.4L Powerstroke are all International(and some European design firms that helped them) designed/built motors.

Good luck with the project and here.

thanx for the advice everyone but i have been doing some looking around and lots of people are tellin me to hjust get a diesel or ima have to find a WHOLE parts truck and do tons of work i guess ill have to find a doner truck...
wat would be a better choice though??
