i wanna someone sharpen/shave a set of baja claws where its legal...i bet they would bite hard then
I know someone that had a set of "sharpened" Baja claws and they actaully didn't hook near as well as the STS's did. These hard clay tracks around here they just don't do very well.
Running those on the street will ruin 'em for pulling on good clay (if ya have any out there)...
Ha good joke, we have one of those, only pull on it once a year
Looks alright, not a big fan of anything bigger then 16" rims.
Here's my new tires per your request JP, figured it was a good spot to post since they are also new slippers.
Good pic of the comparison to the old tire as well.....
Joe
At a pull a few years ago I heard a guy reversed the direction they are suppost to run and netted a few more feet on his second pull.
Brent.
lookin good joe. Is the overall diameter the same as the rears?
Are those the same front wheels you had on at casa de fruta? they look good.
Thanks JP,
No, the STSs seem to be a bit smaller in diameter. You can kinda see that in the tread comparison pic. Weird cuz the 255/85 BFG is supposed to be equivalent to a 32" tire and the STS is a 33". All I know is I am stoked to get a wider, harder biting tire in the front.
Those wheels I had to purchase as well cuz I had some spray-can black dually eagles up front before that were only 16x6s. These ProComp Alloys are 16x10s which were very hard to find, for some reason 4Wheel Parts only had that style in ANY 16x10. Kinda hard to believe when you see the size of the wherehouse down in Compton. Nice too cuz I got to remove the heavy dually spacers up front so I can probably put another 100lbs or so on the front weight rack.:rockwoot:
Joe
Do you think the taller tires in the rear with more air in them will want to push the shorter front tires with less air in them? I'm thinking about gear ratio differences.
