With the rule changes, new pulling organizations and the addition of a 2.6 charger class I had a tough decision to make. What class should I be in? Either way it was going to cost me money.

Well I found the lucky penny. Air Flow Systems has stepped up with a sponsorship for 2008. The big part is a new 2.6 turbo. Mike from Air Flow Systems informed me tonight that my package will ship tomorrow. The new turbo has been built and is ready to go. Once it's received I'll let everyone know what we get in the box.

We will be hitting the dyno at the end of April. Grand Rock will be sponsoring this event in Astabula OH. Diesel World was on hand for the last event with a wright up in the last edition. As of now they are to be in attendance for this and the next two events.

The plan is for at least three runs. The first will be a base line as the truck is now. The second will be with programing change from Jody. We will change the turbo at the event and make a final run.

This is a big deal for me. If you cant tell I'm dancing on the ceiling. I'll keep everyone posted as it unfolds.

It's been a tough haul so far. Last year was pretty smooth, no broken parts. O6 was a killer with a truck load of scrap metal. Mike seems real focused on what he wants to do. Everything came together quick.

So what charger did you get?

LOL We talked about what I had and the S400 was discussed. As to what I'm getting. I'll know when I open the box. I do know it's not an off the shelf piece. It's been about two weeks in the making and ships tomorrow.

Cool. Keep us up to date. What was the 2.8 you had?? HX50??

The 2.8 was a K31 from II. I'm trying to get Mike to come over to Comp D and give up the scoop.

I have no intentions of selling it. It works too good to let go.

Congrats Kevin!:rockwoot:
I am really glad your going 2.6". It seems like a great fit for you.

I would keep the K31 to. It has been a great turbo.:st:

Thanks Johnboy. You should make the trip to the dyno event. It's always a good time.

Congrats!!! I'd love to have a sponsor....at least for tires!

I'd love a sponsor. I wanna play so bad but just can't quite swing it on my own financially. :( Congrats though, seems like you've been through the school of hard knocks before and that seems to be a precursor to getting a sponsorship. Best of luck to ya next year!

The dyno day, is at T.I. Dyno, in Astabula, Ohio. I believe it is scheduled for the end of april, though I am uncertain if a date has been set. It was a good turn out in October, for the "Rocktoberfest," and its a good time.

There is no definite date. I'm sure Josh will let us know asap.
I made the first two events last year and missed the best one in Oct.

how soon might you know? I am setting another dyno day for the end of april and would be nice if it is not the same day. But, there is only so much I can help that out though.
Thanks

Congrats Kevin. Glad to see it is in a sport that needs a little more publicity. I have talked to Mike a few times and he sent me a couple of turbo maps just for my education. He seems to be a stand up guy. No go and kick some butt in the dirt for us Ford guys.
