New twins build up

As far as the wheel size of the 80 I can't quite remember, its written down somewhere :) I will snag some pics of the hot pipe soon. The 80 is supported off the trans heat exchanger and I am going to build a mount off the alternator I think, who knows, I will figure something out this week....

Hey Josh can you show me picture of your HX80 support bracket ? From trans heat exchanger to turbo is very long distance ?

Do you have flexible pipe between big and small turbo exhaust ?

Just for comparsion, here is same turbos under hellmanns truck hood:

This is an old thread just wondering if you got this setup completed and had a chance to run it yet?

Surprised you dug this up. I have been driving this setup for quite a while. I have made two trips to the track so far. Both with crappy results. First time I made it to the track I blew an intercooler boot 60ft out of the hole. I later found this problem out to be a broken motor mount. After that got fixed I actually tried running it again a couple weeks ago to find I had a crack in my header and I broke a leaf spring. The crack was due to the broken motor mount which lead to sheered off the bolts to my lower turbo mount. Thus letting over 130lbs of turbo hang off of the poor header :hehe: eventually leading to a massive crack which I didn't seem to notice on the street.

Everything is actually fixed and I will have more pics as I put it back together today. My crappy work schedule really hinders me from going to the track much with this truck, but I did take it camping a couple of times. Talk about slow spooling up in the mountains :)

Now we just have to get some better gaskets...Drop off that copper stuff and I will have the water jet guy make you some thicker ones.

I bet changing the alternator is a pain in the a$$ on that thing :hehe:

Looks awesome. :rockwoot:

Thanks for the update your setup look nice. What kind of air filter you running on it? How much boost have you seen so far with this setup.

It is and I just did it a couple months back:hehe:

Justin,

I have air filter "issues". I run an afe unit which is way to small and is getting sucked in. Working on something else soon. I have seen about 90lbs of boost on the street so far...
