Ok long story short, I shattered my foot so I've got plenty of down time to mess around on the Internet now. As I'm sitting here bored out of mind I stumbled across someone asking about a zex nitrous kit. That got me thinking about spraying to help spool the charger and to help burn all the fuel you can inject. As I went to research it though, I didn't really find much.

Here's my question, I'm currently running 7x.012s and a 64/71/14. I'm interested in the possibility of quicker spool up when necessary as well as the opportunity for it to burn a little cleaner, but is it worth it on a charger that small?

I'm entirely in the dark when it comes to the spray so any knowledge that you guys can pass on is greatly appreciated.

Every time ive talked to someone about spraying on a diesel they always told me put a massive exstrenal wastegate then spray and pray....

What do you want to know? How will be using the truck? Do you mainly want it for spooling?

Ya mainly just for spooling. The truck is a daily driver/toy. I've done some dirt drags in the past and will prolly do some quarter mile runs in the future. It's a little hot and smokey right now and just a tad laggy. I was just curious if others were using nitrous to help spool and what kind of results they were seeing. Is there a significant difference in how quick it spools?

Use like a .040 jet for spooling. I tried a 0.052 and it rattled a lot, and a .022 wasn't enough. Here's a video of the .052 jet. No more or less throttle input in the video, just tapping the nitrous button....

i use .040 jet out of a .125 solenoid. Spools this 472 instantly. With that charger you will probably need an external gate

I got a ZEX Super Street it has a Boost switch and a TPS controller it starts at @ 15 PSI with full throttle. I just use it on the track except when I was trying it out!

Here's a question for some guys that have been on the bottle for longer than I; Whats the lowest psi yall bring the nitrous on at?

I wouldn't think so, but I think my bottle pressure was only at 800-900 if you're running crazy bottle pressure like 1100+, I'd jet down a little to maybe a 30-something.

Can u also hit it as u see fit with a momentary switch or only whenever u have it programed to hit?

I did away with the throttle sensor switch that my kit came with and wired in an arming switch and momentary switch on a cord.

Thats what I was planning on doing as well but the guy from zex is trying to tell me it cannot be done. I'd like to get the kit that comes with the boost reference switch and the tps switch just so I have that option for when Im at the track, but I'd like to start with a simple switch while I'm figuring it all out.

I once used an .050 at 1000psi bottle pressure to spool a GT4294R...had to hold the button for 15 seconds to get it to light. Converter was way too tight, but man did it launch hard once I got it lit.

he is probably telling you that cause he wants you to buy their $100 remote cord. i literally soldered a radio shack momentary to a little extra wire then to the relay. then just wrapped the slack of the extra wire with electrical tape and bam, cheapo NOS cord
