no smoke question?

haha..well if they were directed at me i thought i'd just try to help somebody out. That's what they call it in the book.....

"27. Each power level on the Power Edge Comp has a submenu that allows
the user to tune in the low boost fueling to eliminate excess smoke. To
access the submenu:
a. Be in the power level that you what to adjust the low boost fueling
for
b. Press and hold the round gray button (power button) for about 2
seconds, release button
c. The LED’s will be flashing when in the submenu
d. Use the left and right arrows to adjust the levels 1-5
e. When 1 LED is lit this results in the least responsive setting or
lowest smoke, all 5 LED’s lit is the most responsive
f. Each power level can store a unique submenu setting
g. When accessing the submenu for the first time the LED’s may
appear erratically lit, use the right arrow key to light all LED’s
then set to desired level."
 
i run a walbro pump from glacier diesel, pressure never gets below 16-17 lbs wide open throttle ,19-20 lbs idle and cruzzin and is nearlly silent.
 
When i got my Drag Comp i just ran it with the wire un-taped for a while. BUT you know how long that lasts.....so i pulled the air horn off and soldered the connection in to the pump wire. Still the same performance. EGT's didn’t get any higher....stayed under 1200. SO talked to a local here and borrowed another comp box.....night and day.....EGT's went to 1500 on 5x5 and the truck turned into Mr. Hyde! SO I established that the box was not fueling at all....simple call to Edge fixed it....week later i have the box i have now that still puts a smile on my face!

On 1x1, 2x2 and 3x3, it will not smoke hardly at all unless I catch the turbo sleeping (Lugging the engine). Go any higher and it will roll it and EGT's will go into melt down levels......O yeah..i got Mach II's

Im very happy with my combo right now....no smoke when i dont want it and truck runs great......just need a bigger huffer(s) now.....:charger:
 
Diesel Dan what kind of hp#s are you makin , whats your fuel milage like ,? I guess i need sticks and a fass, I'm gettin that go fast fever!

Dont know...never been on a dyno...dont like em...well as a bragging rights type of thing....i look at em as more of a tool.....

If i was to guess...i would say im an est 350-375ish......

As for mileage.....i get anywhere around 17-18 MPG.....pretty consistant....and im pretty happy with that for an ISB at least.....
