nv4500 vs nv5600

Most 2.8 trucks I've seen run a 5.13 or sometimes a 4.88 gear with the NV4500. This being around a 13.8 final gear. From my experiences, around here with the lighter sleds and hard biting tracks a 13.0-14.0 final is the best gear to have no matter if its a 2.5, 2.6, 2.8, or a street twins class.

Thats what haisley told me also. But i had to order a set of injector lines from schied so while i was on the phone with brad seeing as how he has ran that class himself i asked him about it and he said 16 final for 2.8. I repeated my question twice with a are you sure. You would think if a guy was wanting to spend money to swap a tranny to get a 13.22 ratio that he would have said go for it. He said save your money and turn 5500 rpms and i would be just fine.

i'm building a new motor, with more power, i have broken alot of parts this year. as far as sucessfull goes, well i aint won yet. other than a couple of brush pulls. LOL but i'm learning more and more every time i hook.
You say i am hard on parts :hehe: i guess that makes 2 of us building an engine this year, well 2010

I heard that there are some internals being made for the 5600 to get different ratios and that are stronger???
