October 13th 2012 - NHRDA World Finals

God how do you drink budweiser? That stuff either gives me a headache or enough gas to..... well blow a gasket. Maybe both!
 
Well y'all, I hate to say this but; I won't be making it.

My oldest dog is not doing well, and these next 2-3 weeks are critical. I just had to fork over a lot more money than anticipated for everything. Between that and needing special care for her if I leave to go out of town, there is just 0 way for me to swing it. Sorry kids, I was really looking forward to meeting a lot of you. Have fun for me!
 
Sorry to hear that Christine. Kelsey and I just lost one of our dogs this harvest, its not a good time. We have been looking to get another pure border collie or collie ausie mix with no luck around home. Hopefully we can find one in Texas. Simpson will have to ride in the bed of the truck all the way home.

Thanks darlin. It's bladder cancer and it's pretty bad. No idea how progressed it is but the average is 6-12 months IF it is not that advanced... I hope y'all find a good one to fill that spot. :(

For a good cause I'll be happy to, and sorry Christine it's a tough time and there is no love like the love of a dog for its owner.

What's going on Friday in the area. We will be getting in well before check in. Probably around breakfast time.
 
This is going to be I believe my first NHRDA event (or first big one) for that matter, don't know what to expect but I'm excited! How's the turnout usually? And is there anything to do in Ennis? We're flying out Friday night after work. I haven't been to a big event in about a year. Its time:Cheer:

Typically it's a pretty decent turn out! Ennis, well, there's nothing. But it's close to DFW and that gives you a lot of options. We'll be hanging out in town though, we tend to entertain ourselves pretty well. I'm getting into Houston at around 10am Thursday so we'll be to Ennis whenever we get motivated on Friday. It's my first diesel even this year too, so I'm pretty stoked.

Yeah, I'm going with my old boss and is wife so I'm sure we will find ways to entertain ourselves even if Ennis is boring. I can sniff out a good time anywhere lol :Cheer:

Kyle chose some really awesome vacations instead, I can't say I blame him.
 
April was Prob the biggest Texas race since the days of DHRA. The world finals should be one of the biggest ever. I'm excited to see some trucks that I've never seen in person, along with the ones I've only seen once ( Armor Inc, Maxed Out, Black Mamba)
