I swapped an NV4500 in my truck about a year and a half ago. I used the Advance Adapters bell housing. I just recently put a 3250# South bend dual disk clutch in it. Well, it works alright, to a point. I was pulling a load of logs the other day, about 20,000lbs worth, I kinda got on it in third to get some speed up and it smoked through the clutch. Also, I can hear the clutch slipping during a WOT pull in fourth and fifth. I know I'm not slipping it because of power issues, I'm hardly making 330 hp. I don't think it's engaging quite well enough. What do you all think?
Thanks,
Craig
